West Lake

Background

Hangzhou's West Lake, a World Cultural Heritage site, carries a thousand years of poetic and picturesque beauty and cultural heritage. In the digital age, the core objective of this project upgrade is to allow tourists to deeply experience the unique value of the "West Lake Cultural Landscape" while enjoying intelligent services, and to minimize interference with the natural and cultural environment.

Challenges

The core challenge for the West Lake scenic area lies in balancing preservation and presentation. Any new facilities must blend seamlessly with the classical garden landscape to avoid visual clashes; the interpretation system needs to break through the one-way communication model to bring history and culture to life; and simultaneously, the efficiency of guided tours in densely populated areas during peak seasons must be addressed to ensure a high-quality visit.

Solution

We have created an intelligent guided tour system "hidden within the landscape." The equipment incorporates elements of Jiangnan gardens, such as interactive screens shaped like moon gates and signs with a porcelain-like texture. The system includes a built-in "digital cultural map," using AI technology to recreate historical scenes, and users can scan a code to listen to professional interpretations.

Benefits

This solution achieves a perfect unity between cultural heritage preservation and intelligent services. The artistic design has won praise from tourists both at home and abroad, while digital interpretation has made cultural dissemination more vivid and profound. Green technology embodies the concept of sustainable development, and intelligent visitor flow management effectively enhances the visitor experience. The project has successfully set a global example for the intelligent management of World Heritage sites.
